I'm going a little nuts with boredom. Today I went to Jason's Comparative Studies class, which was sort of interesting until I came to recognize the stupidity of the majority of students in what is apparently a graduate-level course. Then I just got depressed and doodled in my notebook to stay awake through the hour and 48 minute lecture. After class we talked a bit with one of Jason's Poli-Sci teachers and grabbed lunch. Around 2:00 or so we came back to his dorm and I literally did not leave his room until almost midnight, when I couldn't stand breathing the stale air anymore. I asked Jason if he'd go for a walk with me but he was perfectly comfortable with his video games, so I went out and got ice cream by myself. That's right, it's something like zero degrees windchill outside, and I walked a good quarter mile each way to get ice cream for lack of anything better to do. Sigh.

I almost wish I'd stayed in Ann Arbor. At least then I'd be working, feeling vaguely productive. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy Jason's company, but there's only so much TV I can watch in a day. I suppose we didn't do anything more interesting last year, and I don't remember being this bored. I guess I did spend some time with Amanda then, though, and hung out with the crazies at Antioch, which was fun. But anyway, I don't think Jason has changed all that much. Maybe I'm just less antisocial than I used to be. We went to this goofy Purim carnival thing last night and it was acrually sort of fun, but we left after only an hour or so because Jason thought it was too loud. Admittedly, the music was terrible, but the people seemed nice and it was good to escape his dorm room for a while.

Oh well. On the up side, I read the entirety of The Martian Chronicles today and will probably finish my mother's scarf tomorrow. And I vaguely have the hots for one of his friends, which has made for some fun harmless flirting. I guess, for lack of anything better to do, it's time for bed.
