Tonight I cleaned the kitchen, made chili, and learned the purl, seed, and rib stitches.

Then I planted myself a Victory Garden, because apparently I am a 1940s housewife.

I effing rule.

and yes, crochet is faster at first, but when you get good at knitting you'll be surprised at the speed you can achieve.

I did! Though technically speaking I learned seed stitching accidentally, when I was trying to learn how to rib. It made for the most schizophrenic swatch ever. Now I've started a new swatch to practice ribbing--have to decide whether to do my Ravenclaw scarf in 1k-1p ribbing or stockinette using circular needles (I've been doing my research!).
