Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Nov. 30th, 2003 02:55 pmKilling time at the library until a supervisor shows up at 3 who can override my renewal limit on a bunch of books that are due tomorrow, and officially declare one of them missing. (Remember when those books disappeared from the Fishbowl? Yep, they never showed up. I've lost a lot of faith in the University community over this.) I am going to owe the University Library system so much money when this is over, I don't even want to think about it.
I planned on sitting down at the Fishbowl and getting to work by 1:00 at the latest, but my darling roommate just got back from Thanksgiving in Pennsylvania, so of course I had to sit around and talk to her for a while, and of course I didn't get out of the house until after 2:30. Because I am a bad, bad person.
7 more thesis pages to write today--6 if I decide to count my endnotes as length, which I might. Then I get to start on the Enlightenment pages, of which I need to turn in 10 on Tuesday. Assuming I can finally go back to my prison workshop tomorrow I won't get to start writing until about 9:00, so I need to get at least 4-5 pages done tonight in order to have even a slim chance of getting some sleep tomorrow. Plus, it's someone's birthday on Tuesday, and I'd like to be awake enough to celebrate at least a little.
Anyway, it's 5 after 3 now, so the supervisor person should be here to take care of my library business. With any luck, I can be typing away furiously by 3:30.
P.S. I apologize if the minutia of the thesis writing process is boring the pants off you. Sometimes it even bores the pants off me. If it's really bugging you, just drop me a comment and I'll filter you out, no hard feelings.
