Dear awesome people,
I am looking for Shel Silverstein's poem "Kidnapped" from A Light in the Attic. I want to use it in a ten-minute sample lesson I'm planning for an interview tomorrow morning. The only Shel Silverstein I have in NY is Where the Sidewalk Ends, and I can't find the poem on the intarweb because it's still under copyright. I absolutely swear this is for purely educational purposes. I've thought about just sucking it up and buying a new copy at Barnes and Noble or something, but I already own the book, it's just that my copy happens to be in another state.
Anyway. If you happen to own the book and have ten minutes to spare to transcribe and e-mail the poem, you would make a stressed out teacher very happy. My e-mail address is, as always, grammargirl@gmail.com. Many thanks in advance.
In other news, I may end up temporarily teaching seventh grade science. More on that as my ridiculous life develops.
