Jan. 27th, 2002 04:39 pmOkay, so I might have overreacted just a leeeeetle bit yesterday. For one thing, they didn't reject me outright--I'm on a waiting list, which means that if someone drops out, I still have at least a chance of getting to go. It's just that all my plans for this summer and next summer were based around my getting into NELP this year, and when I didn't get in I freaked.
Anyway, I ended up having a fantastic time last night. A bunch of people from my hall went to the RC semiformal last night, and though I hadn't originally been planning on going, I decided the thing I needed most after my lazy day and sucky afternoon was to go out with people and have a good time. So I got all skanked out with a little help from my friends (I wore ass-tight jeans and this red sequined tank top that Jen lent me, Heather did my hair, and I borrowed Maggie's sexy sheepdog coat), paid my $3, and danced my ass off. I haven't had that much fun in ages. Someone's nine-year-old niece was there for some reason, and Jen brought her out on the dance floor with us. She was friggin' adorable and we all had a great time dancing with her. I got some awesome pictures. Afterward, we all limped back to EQ and changed into pjs, then ordered from Cottage Inn. I haven't had 3AM pizza in ages... yummy. After calling Jason to assure him that I wasn't suicidal over the NELP thing, I joined everyone in Mike and Steve's room and Anna and I gave each other foot massages while we waited for the pizza to come.
So I still have no idea what I'm going to do with my summer, but I'm definitely not living at home and I'm fairly sure I don't want to stay in Ann Arbor again, at least for spring term. Any brilliant ideas?
Urgh. Somehow I managed to get too much sleep last night. Gotta wake up before I go to work at six.
