So after a late-night tech-geek consultation with [livejournal.com profile] penguinboi, we've determined that I'm going to need either an image stabilizer or an rf modulator to get my DVD player to work right.

Does anyone have either or both of those things that I could very briefly borrow, just to see if they'll work? Best Buy's the only place around here that has this stuff, and they can be a bitch about returns. I want to make sure that whatever gadget I get will actually work before I spend the money, you know? I don't need those exact models, just something that serves the same function.

Anyway, if you can help me out or know anyone who can, leave a comment here or e-mail me at frannyzooey@livejournal.com.

Thanks in advance and all that.

(Oh my god I have so much work to do and I did almost none of it last night. Why in God's name am I worried about my goddamn DVD player right now? Because I'm an idiot, that's why.)

You know what pisses me off? When people sit at the Fishbowl, specifically at the two-monitor Macs, with their laptops also on. For the love of God, people, two screens isn't enough? Just had to use three fucking monitors at once, huh? Equally annoying are the people who drag their laptops to the Fishbowl during peak time, plop down in front of a computer, and proceed to ignore it while typing away on their laptops. You couldn't have dragged your precious laptop somewhere else, motherfucker? You do realize that the goddamn wireless network extends outside of this room, right?

Asshats.

It's people like this that made me wait almost half an hour to snag a spot in a lab with multiple hundreds of computers.

So. Much. Work to do. I do not need these fuckheads making my life any more stressful than it already is.

God DAMN it.

Okay, Sisyphus. Back to the mountain with you.

Owww.

Brain hurty.

I don't even know what I'm writing anymore.

Whose brilliant idea was this honors thesis thing, anyway?

Oh. Right.

NaNoWriMo people, believe me, I feel your pain. At least you're done in 17 more days. Oh yeah, and yours doesn't have to be good.

Lucky bastards.
