Don't wake me, I plan on sleeping in

So it became painfully obvious shortly after sitting down to write tonight that there's no way my poor sleep-depped self is going to be able to come up with a remotely turn-inable draft for my Enlightenment class tomorrow. Instead, I've spent the past few hours typing up quotes and taking notes and doing other prep work that doesn't involve too much creative thought. I'm going to get a decent night's sleep tonight if it kills me, so that I can be at full strength tomorrow and awake enough that I can come up with something I can, if not be proud of, at least not be ashamed to turn in.

It's not admitting defeat so much as building up strength for the next battle.

*jaw-cracking yawn*

I hope Marjorie Levinson doesn't hate me for this.

In other news, I got 8 solid hours of sleep last night.

Not writing that draft was the best idea ever. Or at least it seems that way until I walk empty-handed into class at 2:30.

But, oh man. My stomach doesn't ache from a mixture of hunger and exhaustion anymore! I no longer feel like I'm walking through jell-o!

And now, to shower, which I have time to do for the first time since Saturday.

Amazing.
