Well, that would explain my lifelong fear of clowns.
Thanks to
penguinboi for the link and the welcome distraction from my stressful, sleep-deprived, sad little life thesis.

Well, that would explain my lifelong fear of clowns.
Thanks to
1. LJ Drama sucks. A lot.
2. I am the Queen of Paper Bochee (Botchi? Bachi? How the heck do you spell that?), a game invented by my thesis writing seminar in which the object is to slide our thesis drafts as far down the long set of tables as possible without going over the edge.
3. I didn't get an Incomplete in my Enlightenment class--I got a semi-indefinite extension instead, which is even better. I think the look of utter exhaustion and desperation on my face helped a lot. Wheee!
4. About a week ago, I found a UPS slip on the floor addressed to me. I wasn't expecting a package from anyone, and I've been having like serious stressdeath lately, so after a minute of mystification I forgot about it. Yesterday I got a notice in the mail saying that if I didn't pick up the package from UPS by today it'd be returned to sender, so after class today I drove my ass down to Ypsi to pick up my mystery prize--and discovered a care package from my thesis advisor and her husband expressing condolences about my grandmother. It's this sweet little gift basket with tea and cookies and a few other things. I heart my thesis advisor.
5. All stress and no sleep makes Melanie something something--in this case, completely lose my appetite. Between waking up around 11 and about half an hour ago, all I had to eat today was a candy cane and some Dr. Pepper. My stomach hurts, I know I'm hungry, but I've only been able to force down a little milk, part of a mug of tomato soup and half an english muffin. This is bad.
6. Did I mention that LJ Drama sucks a LOT?
Now that I've got the Enlightenment extension, I think I might have to take a sanity night. My brain is so fried right now that my language skills are totally b0rked--I'm typing okay, but half the time the word I type isn't remotely related to the word I'm thinking of. It's driving me crazy.
I wonder if I should just go to bed now.
