I'm calling it a night.

I have 16 pages now, sort of, by which I mean I found a font that looks just like Arial but has more space between each letter, and suddenly I jumped from just over 13 pages to 16. Tomorrow I'll write an intro and conclusion and maybe a wee bit more analysis, employ some more lengthening tricks if need be (adding a few words to each paragraph to add an extra line really makes a difference in a paper this long), then close my eyes and suck it up and forget about this whole dreadful experience. Honestly, I will welcome a C- with open arms and a song if it means I don't have to stress myself out about it anymore.

You know what? I'm going to get 8 hours of sleep tonight. And there will be much rejoicing.

Well, time has this way of marching ahead regardless of everything else. Today is finally Thursday. Whatever else happens, I have to turn this paper in tomorrow. It's too late to rewrite, too late to do anything besides patch up what I can and send it on its way.

This time tomorrow, it'll all be over.

No matter how tired I am now, no matter how awful the paper turns out... in 24 hours or less, I'll be able to move on with my life and stop boring you guys with my endless paper-related bitching.

Hallefreakingluiah.

Of course, I'm supposed to have some kind of full draft of my thesis to turn in before "spring" break, which starts in two weeks. But we won't think about that right now.

Okay.

It's time for the Paper That Would Not Die, to die.

Woot.

18 and a half pages down and I haven't even written the expanded conclusion or started adding content to the actual body of the paper yet, not to mention resorting to the last ditch tactic of Cute Little Subject Headings That Take Up A Whole Line To Themselves. I've been kind of putting off the conclusion because it means rereading the whole wretched mess of a paper, which means rediscovering how truly it bad it is, but oh well.

Now that I've given up on coming up with something that I can be even remotely proud of, it's kind of fun coming up with new and inventive ways to fill the space.

If I keep going at this rate, I could be done by 2AM. Sweet.
