So...

Tomorrow afternoon, B. and Haley and I leave for NYC.
The day after we return is Election Day.
11 days after that is my birthday.
6 weeks (exactly) after my birthday is Christmas.

Um. Where the hell did this year go?

Anyone who hasn't seen Eminem's 'Mosh' video needs to do so immediately. If you don't feel like waiting around for the download, a streaming video version can be found here. Seriously, guys. Normally I respect Eminem's talent but I can't stand his music; this video made my respect for him skyrocket. Not only does it bear a great message, not only is the video stunning artistically, but Mosh is also a fanfrickintastic song. Trust me on this one.

I just received an e-mail from B. in which he said goodbye to me in 12 different languages. We're talking, like, Basque, kids.

Have I mentioned recently that I am madly in love with this boy? Because holy shit, Batman.

Somehow I found myself last night sitting in an improvised TV studio in South Quad watching B.'s band appear on this completely ridiculous pseudo-talk-show broadcast on the campus TV network. I don't know what was more entertaining--watching the host making a futile effort to engage his insipid film student guests in some sort of semi-articulate conversation, or watching B. leap around like a rockstar while making the fantastic faces he always makes when he's concentrating really hard on his guitar playing.

Noam Chomsky is speaking at the law school at 4:00 today and I really, REALLY wanna go. And the thing is, I totally could go, no one would care, but I'm already taking off two days so I can go to NY... bah. Decisions, decisions. And anyway, who in the goddamn hell schedules Noam fucking Chomsky to speak at 4:00 on a Thursday afternoon? That is approximately the worst time I can think of for this sort of engagement except maybe for 3AM on a Sunday. I mean, seriously people.

If all goes according to plan I will be in NYC less than 24 hours from now. Oh man. So much EXCITEMENT. Yes.
