This is really neat!

Want long weekend to start now, dammit. *pout*

And like magic, Miss Emily has waltzed back into my life like she was never gone.

All the students are coming back to Ann Arbor. I feel like my town's being invaded. Living in the Student Ghetto while no longer a student is gonna suuuuuuuck.

Not that I can actually, say, live in my sketchtacular apartment now, as the waterproofing/recarpeting that was supposed to conclude two days ago is still slogging along. I am so not paying rent this month.

Haley has a new boy in her life. It's giving me a clue as to just how obnoxious I must have been for the past two weeks. Um, sorry about that.

[livejournal.com profile] grrwoo, [livejournal.com profile] raptorgirl, [livejournal.com profile] sunyata__, anyone else in the path of Frances-- do be careful, okay? I like you guys too much to have you swept ignominiously out into the ocean. And Jebus H. Christmas, that thing's bigger than the entire state of Florida. Don't make me go all Worried Mommy on your ass, k?

Heh... I'd be more than willing to offer you crash space if my apartment was, you know, habitable at the moment.

Here's hoping you guys emerge unscathed...

I'd like to hear about Emily sometime, if you feel like it. You don't need to get Into It or anything, but I'd love to hear that, like, she's okay, and you guys rule, and stuff.

It's funny you express surprise at things starting to work out between you, not that it doesn't feel surprising, but just today I was talking with a great woman at work who just returned from a vacation seeing a lifelong friend with whom she'd stopped talking for a couple recent years despite/because of huge difficult life events, and she said "It was so wonderful, we're still somehow such good friends, but I almost expected her to kick my ass when she picked me up at the airport!" and I was just like "um, I totally know." Bonds are, like, awesome. And boggling.

And... I love you! Take care of yourself.
