Ladies and Gentlemen, the novel that would not die is officially DEAD.
It took considerably more than a month, but the monstrosity that is Infinite Jest is now my bitch.
PH34R ME!
In other news: financial things make me want to cry.
Also: today I got to consume delicious cider and donuts at the cider mill that my mom has visited annually since she was about 5 years old.
My brain hurts. I want to snuggle with my nerd.
Bleh.

That was a major part of what made the book challenging to me (and no, I have not made it my bitch as you have), I was so obsessed with reading each footnote I'd get lost on what was actually going on in the chapters.

Date: 2004-09-04 08:15 pm (UTC)I've got this weird issue with feeling it's absolutely inappropriate to skip around in books, so I had to just stop reading. Twisted, eh?
Congrats on good reasons to finish it! ;)
