Sep. 9th, 2004 12:03 pmThe problem with never spending any time at my own apartment is that there is very little incentive to expend the energy to make the place livable now that the waterproofing and recarpeting is done. Since I am paying rent on it, however (well, not this month. But in general...), I suppose I should probably put at least a little effort into making it a place where I might conceivably want to be from time to time.
Accordingly, and mostly for my own benefit, here's a checklist of some things I really need to take care of, which I'll be able to start on tonight while Haley's at work and B.'s doing physics-related things:
*Go grocery shopping. I've been either eating out or letting Haley feed me for the past three weeks, which really needs to stop. Well, Haley can feed me whenever she wants, but I really need to stop buying lunch every day at the very least.
*Do laundry. Our landlord exchanged a parking space for the use of the laundry room next door, which means no more trekking to the laundromat for me! Wooo!
*Figure out some way to hide the coaxial cables that have taken over the living room so I'm not tripping over them every time I move.
*Re-hang the shower curtain. Seems like maybe at some point I might want to take a shower at my own apartment. I mean, theoretically.
*Sort through the chaos of belongings in the kitchen, and remove my stuff to where it goes.
*Likewise with the stuff that somehow ended up crammed into the bathroom.
*Pick through the posters that ended up crumpled everywhere and see if any are salvageable.
*Replace one or two of the less salvageable ones at the poster sale in the Union.
Eh, that's all I can think of for now.
