Your new job sounds amazing! I would gladly copyedit for free, too. In fact, I think my co-workers are starting to catch on that when they give me copyediting projects, I don't consider them work. Instead, they are my shove-aside-lunch-and-daily-LJ-reading projects.
I am super excited about reading The Book Thief. I think I may have to give up on the library ever getting it back in and go and buy a hardcover copy of my own.
