Just like a grown-up!

Today I was handed a big box full of personalized notepads, complete with my name, job title, and contact information, as well as the company logo. I am unreasonably pleased about this. It's like I really exist now, not just on the outskirts as a temp, but as a real person with my own notepads and a functioning nameplate and a cubicle I can decorate however I want. The fact that I got so many notepads--more than I can expect to go through for a long, long time--means, somehow, that I'm expected to stick around long enough to use them up. It's a good feeling.

WOW! Personalized notepads! Thats pretty damn fancy. Do you have business cards too?

No business cards, alas. Those and stationery are reserved for upper management. But still! Notepads are pretty damn sweet, if I do say so myself.

oh MAN. i totally know the feeling. when i first got my business cards at girlie, it ruled. thing was, there was no job title printed on em... made it easier for them to give us crap work or even fire us.

but notepads, this is like, in a totally different stratosphere. can i see!? if i get you something cute for your cubicle, can i seeee??!!

grindhouse baby. it's going down if you want it to.

personalized note pads are the true sign that you are in the big leagues! I loved mine, but unfortunately our office has gone completely eletronic (no real use of paper anything) so they won't let us have them anymore. Oh how I miss my notepads! I will now live vicariously through you :)
