grammargirlJust got back from lunch with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
socoldinalaska who is, as predicted, mad cool. She's very much a wide-eyed 17-year-old freshman, and I mean that in the best possible way. We had a lovely conversation about boys and emo belts* and The Postal Service and how weird it is when the room you lived in for so many years suddenly seems like this totally foreign place when you go back home. She made me miss dorm life, and that weird magical six month longish period of freshman year when you can become instant best friends with the random guy in your English class and you sit down with strangers in the cafeteria and have wonderful profound discussions about nothing all the time.
So anyway, that was nice. And now, rather than sitting around in the freezing cold Fishbowl pretending like I'm going to do work, I think I'm going to transfer Aubrey's Live CD to my iPod, then go home to my nice warm apartment and take a nap. Someone kept me up all last night with his snoring. *mock glare*
Happy Thanksgiving, all. Mine will be approximately the Most Depressing Thing Ever this year, but I hope the rest of you thoroughly enjoy yourselves.
