Everything looks perfect from far away
Nov. 27th, 2003 01:49 amSo tonight I finally broke out of the frozen, panicked, unproductive streak I've been on for the past week or so, thank frigging God. Granted, I didn't do much of anything all day, but in the space between 9-something and now, I hooked Aubrey's TV up to the DVD player (Yay for a working DVD player!), cleaned the heck out of the kitchen, and wrote about a page of my thesis.
I know that doesn't sound like much, and that page did take me more than two hours to write, but compared to the horrible stasis of the past few days, I'll take whatever progress I can get.
20 pages by Tuesday. Dear lord.
Shoshana called today and we talked for a long time. It was good to hear her voice. Aubrey left for Thanksgiving last night and the apartment is really sad and lonely without her. I transferred a bunch more CDs to my iPod today. The yogurt I'm eating right now is the first thing I've eaten since about 3:00 this afternoon. I think I'm getting a sore throat. I've decided that The Postal Service is my favorite band, at least for today. When talking to
socoldinalaska earlier today, I found myself getting nostalgic for dorm food--who knew such a thing was possible? Walking down the sidewalk on the way back from Graham's apartment last night, I passed a group of three girls wearing identical black Northface jackets. I'm in dire need of a shoulder rub.
The end.
