Not a problem I expected to have...
Dec. 17th, 2003 06:11 pmSo after waking up later than planned, hacking my lungs out for a while, chugging down over the counter drugs and taking an unplanned nap, I finally managed to sit my ass down in the Fishbowl and get to work around 3. I've now got a little over 4 pages, which under the circumstances is pretty impressive (the ability to copy/paste directly from my thesis helped a lot here...), but I'm beginning to realize that my argument is only going to be sustainable for about 5 pages, maybe 6 at the outset, but definitely not the 7-10 mandated by the assignment.
Damn it.
I'm gonna write til I hit the bottom of page 5, at which point
naiveinsight will take a look and recommend places to add more detail/flesh out my argument/whatever, and I'll go grab something to eat, which should help my mental processes a bit. But... dammit, I've already written 30 pages about children's lit, you wouldn't think it'd be that hard to get through 7-10 pages without having to turn on the bullshit generator.
Whatever. It's not even really about quality at this point--just get me through the requisite number of pages, just let me survive this freaking week with mind and body semi-intact, and I'll be happy.
