Argh.

Well, I've been wanting to write about the awesome sushi dinner Maggie and I got two nights ago, and my first viewing of Lilo and Stitch, and my friend Andrew's kindness in driving me around for the Great Laundry Adventure last night.

Instead, I have to write about incipient LJ drama and the $600 I just had to pay so my car won't kill me, and the fact that my ceiling was just leaking so badly it looked like it was raining in my living room--this after the maintenance guy woke me up at 8:50 this morning to fix the much-less-bad leak I found yesterday, then went away without doing anything because he didn't want to wait for the girl upstairs to finish her shower. Oh yeah, and I haven't taken a shower in three days and can't now because I don't know if the leak is plumbing-related and I don't want to make it worse.

This must be Thursday. I never could get the hang of Thursdays.

I enjoyed your writing (though sorry about your leakage and car problems), and the Douglas Adams quote. Also saw that we both list Michael Chabon and Tom Robbins as interests.
