I went over to [livejournal.com profile] mathforlovers' place this evening and ended up having an impromptu closet ravaging/picture taking session. I'll post a few of the more brilliant ensembles tomorrow (and yes, Haley, I'll post the hot pics we took of you so you can send them to your boy. :) ), but in the meantime here's a brand spankin' new icon I made from one of the pics. I've entitled the picture this icon comes from "sexylibrarian." That about says it all.

Tomorrow will be a Good Day. Pancake "breakfast" (well, we both plan on sleeping til at least 1. But still. Pancake first meal of the day, if you will.) with Aubs, hair dying and shopping with [livejournal.com profile] mathforlovers and [livejournal.com profile] chellen (fishnets that actually fit me, yay!), more dress-up goodness, Becca's birthday dinner, then a Blind Pig show with [livejournal.com profile] symphy. Yes, I'm cramming my entire social life into one day, why do you ask?

Holy shit, it's late. Must get beauty sleep for tomorrow. Kisses, kids.

It all started a few days ago, when I played Aubrey the intro to the live version of Dar Williams' "I Won't Be Your Yoko Ono," and she mentioned that there's a BNL song called "Be My Yoko Ono."

Thus was the Idea born: a mixed CD composed entirely of paired songs with opposite titles. Thus, our brilliant tracklist:

1. Gene Kelly - Singin' in the Rain
2. Katrina and the Waves - Walking on Sunshine

3. Barenaked Ladies - Be My Yoko Ono
4. Dar Williams - I Won't Be Your Yoko Ono

5. The Beatles - All You Need is Love
6. The Delgados - All You Need is Hate

7. Jewel - I'm Sensitive
8. Jann Arden - Insensitive

9. Verve Pipe - Colorblind
10. Counting Crows - Colorful

11. The Sundays - Cry
12. Pearl Jam - Smile

13. Better Than Ezra - Good
14. Michael Jackson - Bad

15. Tori Amos - Northern Lad
16. Better Than Ezra - Southern Girl

17. John Lennon - Gimme Some Truth
18. Fleetwood Mac - Sweet Little Lies

19. Beck - Loser
20. Queen - We Are the Champions

Also, a special honorable mention goes out to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack - I've Had the Time of My Life and Jets to Brazil - You're Having the Time of My Life. It's great pairing, but we ran out of space and in any case couldn't stand to inflict that awful awful Dirty Dancing song on anyone, especially ourselves.

Incidentally, my room is now cleaner than it has been in ages. This is what happens when there is the possibility of a boy in my bed, I suppose.

Okay. Must go shower, dress, shop, dye, dress, eat, drink, dance, and make out. In that order. :)

Toodles.

Angryvixen's doing a mix CD swap-type dealie. What a brilliant idea; I love learning about new music!

Sitting in [livejournal.com profile] mathforlovers' apartment, waiting for my hair to dry because I'm a dumbass and put mousse in my hair this morning, which is Not Allowed before dying (hair, that is. I personally have no particular plans to die in the near future). Soon we shall go pick up [livejournal.com profile] chellen, make a ruckus ([livejournal.com profile] mathforlovers, you're wearing off on me!) at the mall, and come back here to give me a kickin' dye job.

w00t. I love today.
