Happy LJversary to me!
*tosses confetti*
From my first LJ entry ever:
Two days ago, I bought one of those Nalgene water bottles you see everyone walking around with. Today I find myself starting, not just an online journal, but a LiveJournal, being both too much of an exhibitionist to confine myself to a paper journal and too damn lazy to write my own HTML. So I find myself at work in the law library, typing this instead of doing homework (why else does anyone start one of these things anyway besides procrastination, pure and simple?), afraid that any minute now the Trendy Police are going to grab me, outfit me in Abercrombie and North Face, and force me to watch TRL and The Real World on loop until I surrender my soul entirely to The Man.
It's weird to think about how much has happened in the past two years. I've gotten my nose and navel pierced, dyed my hair several times, made new friends and lost touch with old ones, written almost 30 pages of my thesis, gotten two incompletes, been so drunk I threw up, become a thrift whore, joined PCAP, lived with two different roommates, had sex kind of, read more books than I care to count, discovered new music, gotten an hour and a half of sleep in a 36 hour period, pined after boys I knew I couldn't have, acted in two plays and facilitated drama and creative writing workshops in two prisons and a juvenile detention facility, climbed three mountains, went skinny dipping, traveled to New England, Philadelphia, NYC, Columbus, OH and Montreal...
I suppose it hasn't been a particularly extraordinary two years, but it's at least been pretty well-documented. More importantly, I've met so many great new friends in that time, and a lot of that is thanks to the fantastic community I've found on LJ. Supposed trendiness aside, I couldn't have asked for a better group of people with whom to share the past two years of my life. you guys are the best.
Speaking of which, I just realized that I hit 60 friends-of today. That's kind of cool.
Okay, enough syrup and pseudo-introspection. Time for breakfast.
