Dear Melanie,

It gives me great pleasure to let you know that you have been awarded the distinction of Honors in English. Let me add my own congratulations to those of the entire English Department.

In the meantime I look forward to seeing you at the Honors Convocation.

Sincerely, Sara Blair
Director, English Honors Program

Funny, I'm not nearly as thrilled to have that H on my diploma as I thought I'd be.

In other news, I appear to be completely losing my mind. Not that this is a huge surprise or anything, but it's beginning to manifest itself in increasingly problematic ways.

Like, I still haven't done anything about getting graduation tickets, despite the fact that graduation is on Saturday.
Like, I stood up Amy two nights in a row because I suck.
Like, I've completely lost the ability to mentally multitask.
Like, it's almost 8:00 and I still haven't started my 8-10 page paper due tomorrow, and in fact I'm about to watch The Simpsons.

I need to clean my room and do laundry and throw shit away and do the dishes and clean the hell out of the kitchen and bathroom. I need at least a week just to get my life together so I can feel like a reasonable human being again. Until then, I'm sitting here with a million and twelve things I should be doing but am not, I've got three pairs of underwear soaking in the sink because I'm totally out but have no time to do laundry, and I'm slowly but surely going off the deep end. If anyone needs me, I'll be gibbering quietly to myself in that corner over there.

I cannot even begin to articulate the numerous ways in which I suck.

Worst. Student. Ever.
