You know, most of the time my job is rather spectacularly boring. I spend my time alternately obsessively reloading LJ and reading lots and lots and lots of 17th century sermons railing against licentiousness and papists. Every once in a while, though, I find a winner:
HItherto we have made mentlon
onely of naturall rayne, and that
which is common, which no man doth
marvell at. But there is some time such
rayne, that worthily may be wondred
at: as when it raineth wormes, frogges,
fishes, blood, milke, flesh, stones wheat,
iron, wooll, bricke, and quicksilver.
