You know how every once in a while you get a completely random line from a song or movie playing over and over again in your head? That happened to me today. The line?

...and as I was about to write that it was going to take a google search and lots of wasted work time to figure out where the hell that came from, I realized that it came from an episode of Sports Night. That mystery solved, I think I'll make it my mission to determine which episode.

EDIT: After a whopping ten seconds of searching, I determined that the episode in question is in fact "Shoe Money Tonight," thanks to a rather obsessively compiled website about overlaps between Sports Night and West Wing. Sometimes I really do love the internet.

So I've been sort of half-watching the CSPAN-2 coverage of the debates over the Federal Marriage Act. And Orin Hatch is somehow trying to claim that a constitutional amendment barring gay marriage would expand rights rather than limit them. Um, I'm sorry, did I fall asleep and wake up in OppositeLand?

Also, he keeps using the word "Activist" like it's a pejorative term.
