Chapter 2 is now just over 8 pages.

That means that in order to have a decent draft of the chapter for my advisor on Thursday, as I promised I would, I need to more than double what I've written in the past 4 days... tomorrow.

Right now I'm too tired and demoralized to care.

Skipping all of my classes after my 11:30-1 thesis seminar tomorrow; hopefully the extra time will give me what I need to get my ass in gear.

Tomorrow needs to be spectacular or I'm totally screwed. No pressure or anything. Actually, it's entirely possible that I'm totally screwed anyway, but I'm trying not to think about that at the moment.

Anyway, time for home and bed. Must be well-rested tomorrow for what I fully expect will be a 12+ hour fishbowl marathon. Watch me jump up and down with excitement over that prospect.

Feh.

I apologize if I seem totally out of the loop and not with it...but what exactly is your thesis topic?

This will be of absoutely no help to you now, but the titles of your posts always make me giggle.

Now, if you haven't read The Chronicles of Narnia, the following will not mean quite as much, but...

Courage, dearheart.

Vous ne pouvez pas? Mais, non!

You can do it!

However, I have a recommendation: take breaks. I don't know how cold it is up there, but nothing does a body good like fresh air and plenty of water. And always remember, if you stop because you don't think what you're writing isn't good enough, lower your standards and keep writing. You'll read what you've written, and exclaim, "I didn't want to say that, I wanted to say -- oh!" Light bulbs, etc. It's the easiest way to argue with yourself.

Oh, fuck the double negatives. Everywhere else it means worse.

And always remember, if you stop because you don't think what you're writing is good enough, lower your standards and keep writing.
