After a massive unintentional nap earlier tonight, I am now wide awake. I'm too out of it to do any school reading, I got to the end of a section in Wicked and am disinclined to start a new one, Aubrey's distracted with her shiny new Super Nintendo emulator and the only other person I know who keeps the same crazy hours I do is being all DistractoBoy, again.

Sigh.

I need to get the hell out of here. Just take my laptop and my iPod and some clothes and go.

Too bad there's still more than a month left in the semester. Feh.

Gah, I know the feeling. I've been needed to get out too lately. Get out. Go somewhere. Anywhere. Yesterday I did that - I just left, and walked and walked and walked. Take a day off - you can afford one day. Take the day off and do something spontaneous, either alone or with a friend, whichever suits your mood more.
Catch a movie or sit in the park and feed the ducks or curl up in the coffee shop and read a good book or take a walk and listen to music, and pretend real life doesn't exist. Go someplace far. Someplace you don't usually get to every day. For one day, take a vacation.

I'd say come to NY, but I think that's a bit far for a day's break. But whatever you do, take a day off and get out. You need it.
