grammargirlThings that are making my head go all 'splody today
*I had to wait on hold with Verizon for a good 35 minutes through three different 800 numbers until I found someone who could uncheck a box or whatever to get me the hell off auto-pay. Aside from the fact that it was trying to draw funds from acredit card that expired last month, it's also the reason I got stuck with a $100 phone bill that I didn't find out about until it was too late to fix. Bleh.
*My former thesis advisor, who I thought I'd be able to stay with on Montauk next weekend, is now sick and has 8 family members coming up the weekend I'd been counting on. Not only does this mean that I may not get to visit one of my favorite people and her amazing family on Montauk while wearing my bright orange Clementinetastic hoodie, but I have absolutely no idea where I'll be sleeping next weekend. reves_rouges's hospitality for nine days, but I thought my plans with Lisa were pretty solid so I didn't come up with a backup plan and I really can't afford even a hostel in NYC. Maybe I can get my freshman year roommate to let me stay at her parents' house? I don't even know.
*Friendship go boom. Stomach hurts like a motherfucker. Feel like a big asshole.
Things I need to remember to pack/do before I leave tomorrow
*Charge cell phone, iPod, and digital camera battery
*Pack all three wall chargers
*Write rent check so Aubs can mail while I'm gone
*Call Verizon to make sure my phone will still work sans roaming in NY
*Um, pack, stupid
*Bring lots of granola bars and cheese and peanut butter crackers to subsist on so as not to go any more broke than absolutely necessary
*Pack Infinite Jest for plane/subway rides
*Throw away food in fridge that will be thoroughly rotten by the time I get back
*Figure out where the HELL I'm staying for the last half of the trip
*Callreves_rouges to figure out how to get to her from JFK
*Freak the fuck out, thankyouverymuch
