reves_rouges late-ish last night. Have directions to the Union Square Barnes & Noble where we'll be meeting a few hours after I land. So I know for sure I have a place to stay for the first half of my trip... we'll see what happens for the second.
I have people to meet, places to see, things to do. I am on my way to New Yawk, baby!
sunyata__: I'll be calling you tonight, probably when I make it to B&N. We probably won't be able to plan anything solid until I talk to reves_rouges, but at least we can get a general feel for whens and wheres.
corenrind: Likewise. Looks like no slumber party at your dorm tonight, but I promise we'll be seeing each other by Monday at the latest. We'll talk tonight for sure, at least.
Everyone else: After much wrangling I've decided to leave my laptop at home, because a)It's my baby, and from the standpoint of finances and illegally downloaded music archives completely irreplaceable, and I would be utterly inconsolable if anything happened to it, and b)though light for a laptop, it would still add 5-6lbs to my current load, which I will already be lugging all over hell and back before I end up somewhere to dump my stuff and sleep. My back is already gonna be in screaming agony by the end of today; it really doesn't need the added trauma. With that in mind, my LJ presence is gonna be pretty sporadic for the next 9 days. I assume I'll get to do the occasional update fromreves_rouges, and I'll probably do a phone post or two, but I don't plan on reading my friends page at all, and with 9 days of unread material when I get back I prolly won't catch up. Anything that you think is vitally important for me to see, leave a comment or e-mail me.
