So... anyone local wanna come see Michael Moore at Hill Aud with me? Tickets onsale tomorrow, $3.50-4.50 (can't tell from the website whether that's student/non-student or balcony/main floor). He's speaking on the 29th.

I don't agree with a lot of Moore's opinions and I wholeheartedly disagree with some of his methods, but when I saw him at the Nader Rally in '00 (ah, remember those euphoric days?) he was a really compelling speaker. Seems like it'd be worth the four bucks for the entertainment potential alone, plus I bet he'll give us political conversation fodder for days to come.

Anyway, do drop me a comment if you're interested.

Hi There!

Damn!! Damndamndamnitydamn.

I wish I could go with you. I saw him speak at the American Library Association Convention in '02, just on a lark, and he really gave an amazing presentation. I'd love to go see him again.

PS: I'd also like for you to get me some pot. [runs away giggling]

Hush up, you. You're gonna give me a reputation as the LJ Drug Dealer or something.

I got an e-mail that said that the tix were $4 for students, $5 for non-students (from MUTO).

I much prefer his movies to his actual speaking. When I saw him last year, his speeches were worse in terms of his bias, his technique, and factual errors, than his movies. His metaphors sank harder than the Titanic and his speech is almost always pleading lately.

Excuse me while I go read some Ann Coulter. I kid.

I'd like to go, but it's a school night and getting sitters is never easy. Damn.

That sounds fabulous. Actually, I'm generally in EQ once or twice a week visiting a friend who works at the halfass, so if you give me your phone number (e-mail frannyzooey AT livejournal DOT com if you don't want to post it here), I can just give you a call the next time I stop by. Whatever works for you. :)
