For my part, I think it's a toss-up between Ontario (particularly Toronto) and B.C. (particularly Vancouver). For good links on info about moving to Canada, check my latest post.

It's funny you use those two...as when asked yesterday where I would move in Canada, I replied, "Well, most likely London, Ontario (a scant 2 hrs away from Toronto), or British Columbia."

You and I *makes the back and forth geusture between herself and the monitor with your post on it*, we're on the same page here.

Yeah, I'm thinking about Toronto and Vancouver myself. Both have Library/Information Science programs, both have a decent if small publishing industry. I suppose it's a matter of geography at this point, really, as well as cost of living and that sort of thing. Plus I need to talk to Brooks about how the physics scene is in both places. I guess we'll see.

Oh, I feel sick this morning.

I've really been feeling pretty good about this election, and while it seemed iffier than I had hoped, I went to be last night at a reasonable hour with the hope that when I woke up it would be fairly obvious that Bush was gone.

I just feel sick about it.

I know what you mean. I woke up yesterday morning feeling really pretty good, actually. I guess I just had faith that, while the American public is undoubtedly dumb, they couldn't possibly be that dumb.

That'll learn me.

Don't forget the University of Western Ontario's library school.

Its much closer to Ann Arbor being in London, Ontario.

Hmm. Good point. You don't happen to know where I might find a Canadian equivalent of the U.S. News and World Report rankings, do you? I've been having the hardest time finding info about where Canadian schools stand in relation to American schools and each other.

There is not as much information however Maclean's magazine does an annual review.

I will check for others.
