grammargirlOh yes, lest I forget in my haze of snot and pre-interview jitters: today, the one-year anniversary of Miss Ridgely's gainful employment, also happens to be the five-year anniversary of this here El Jay.
This seems like a mildly impressive length of time, to me; many marriages don't last this long.
I tried rereading my accumulated archive, as some kind of reflection on progress made and patterns established or broken, etc., but I got through about a year and a half and had to stop due to the sheer cringeworthiness of the me that existed all that time ago, and her all too close relationship with the me that is sitting here today.
Still, though: I've learned a lot, and I've made some wonderful friends, formed some relationships that, for better or worse, never would have existed without this crazyass community, and I will remain forever grateful to you guys for being such a big part of my life.
Imagine: I've been writing in this journal for one fifth of the years I've been alive!
