A Dance With Dragons has a release date!

Well, according to Amazon, anyway. I'm a wee bit dubious since GRRM hasn't made an announcement on his Web site or his LJ yet, and I'll wait on the pre-order until I hear from him directly. Still, looks like I'll be reading the entire series twice this year. This makes me happy.

It's rather recent in any event. My friend who found it's been checking Amazon off and on for some time.

I saw that a couple weeks ago, when they uploaded the cover. I'm hoping this means he is nearly done. (For AFFC he finished around May and somehow they had it out in the end of September, so it's possible it could still happen. Now that I work in publishing, I'm like OMG, what a wicked crash.) But I don't want to get my hopes up. Because Amazon has had release dates before and they have come and gone.
