Wanna know something ridiculous?

I haven't been to Criminology lecture more than 4 or 5 times since the midterm. I didn't do any of the reading, except what I needed at the last second to write papers, until today, when I skimmed a couple articles and read a couple a little more closely. I spent a grand total of maybe three hours studying for the final.

And I'm going to do fine.

I spent a little while meeting with this girl from my class who had been studying for a couple of days and had taken pages and pages of notes and written out answers and scribbled all over the lecture notes, and I ended up explaining everything to her. Refrickingdiculous.

I think I need to get C-range on the final to get a B+ in the class, which seems perfectly doable to me. And for a class I hated and never went to or did work for, a B+ really ain't half bad.

Man. So. Fucking. Ready to kiss this semester goodbye.

Of course, I still have 30 pages of writing to do to make up for my incomplete before I'll *really* be done, but we won't think about that right now.

Oh yes, and for those of you just burning with curiosity: stripey punkrock Melanie hair!

If I remember, I'll post some better pics once I get my !!digital camera!! from my cousin at Christmas.

Tomorrow is definitely going to be a "We Are The Champions" day. Oh yes.

*blink*

I think I kicked my Criminology final's ass.

Who knew?

I will laugh so freaking hard if I end up with an A in that class. Oh man.

I am done, and I am so happy, and I was going to talk about running into Nels on my way home while bopping along to Starship on my iPod because he was the best possible person to run into under those circumstances, but no one here except [livejournal.com profile] shivasaavik has the slightest clue who Nels is, so really what's the point?

Instead, I think I shall nap like no one has ever napped before.

Mmmmmm, nap.

Well, I've just about finished my crazy cleaning spree, which means that shortly I will be the Last Person To Leave Ann Arbor For The Holiday. W00t.

I think my crazy comic book character hair is starting to grow on me. Possibly this is because I know for a fact that my mother will loathe it. There's still some rebellious teenager hiding inside 22-year-old me yet.

Anyway, you know the drill--going home to the Dialup Connection of Death for the next two weeks, which always tempts me to say that I won't be around much, but we all know that that's patently not true. If anything, I'll be around and posting to LJ even more. When the choice is between making up the work for my Enlightenment class, editing my thesis draft, going through the accumulated detritus of my mother's house and bagging/boxing up stuff to give away, watching bad daytime TV, and sitting around online hitting reload on my friends page every ten seconds and posting random surveys and "I'm bored!" updates... well, we all know which option I'll choose.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a lovely Generic Winter Holiday (which reminds me, happy Hanukah to those of you who celebrate!)--I'm sure you'll be hearing from me soon.

To quote [livejournal.com profile] ldy: Hugs to those who want 'em, those who need 'em, and those who don't run away quickly enough!
