It's 11:39 PM. I never got dressed today.
Yeah, it's definitely winter break.
My mother's house has been rendered nearly unrecognizable. I have a full-sized bed in my room for the first time in my entire life, which weirds me out no end--my mom ended up with a bunch of my grandmother's furniture, including her bed, so I got my mom's old bed and mine got put in the basement for when I eventually move out of the furnished apartment phase of my life. We've also got this obscene amount of furniture in the living room now, because my mom is unwilling to put anything in storage (back in her poor-as-dirt years, she lost a bunch of stuff because she couldn't afford to pay the rent on the storage shed thingy, so the bastards sold her stuff out from under her) but still hasn't decided what she's donating.
Last night, I idly opened a cabinet that has spontaneously appeared on the landing (also my grandmother's) and found a thirty year old roll of breath mints.
Take a moment to contemplate that.
